In an important step toward strengthening national security and advancing academic and strategic cooperation, the National Security Advisory Board of the Vision Foundation held a special meeting with the presidency of the University of Sulaimani. The meeting focused extensively on key national security issues and emphasized the need for coordination between academic and research institutions.
The meeting was held at the University of Sulaimani in the presence of Dr. Kosar Mohammed, President of the University, and Jabbar Yawar, Head of the National Security Advisory Board. Both sides stressed that the cooperation between the Vision Foundation and the University of Sulaimani, based on a previous memorandum of understanding, is entering a new phase of joint work.
Dr. Kosar Mohammed pointed out that the University of Sulaimani has established a special college under the name “National Security” to develop and strengthen this field. He noted the importance of benefiting from the expertise and experience of individuals with military service backgrounds, some of whom are currently working within the Vision Foundation and the National Security Advisory Boardin military and strategic fields.
At the conclusion of the discussions, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination in order to strengthen national security, enhance strategic research, and support initiatives that contribute to security, stability, and development in the Kurdistan Region in general and the city of Sulaymaniyah in particular.
